Fololi Lologa

Tertiary educator, coach and mentor

Fololi Lologa is a tertiary educator, coach and mentor whose biography in Fast Forward to Success describes lecturing at Manukau Institute of Technology in Aotearoa, New Zealand. She reached that role after twenty years in corporate work.

Her chapter begins with childhood in Samoa, where her mother was a schoolteacher and education and hard work were important family values. Fololi describes having ambitious goals before she understood the steps or support needed to reach them.

Take Big Chances to Chase Your Big Dreams connects that experience with her work with adult students. Some are returning after raising children, while others bring different educational backgrounds or plans for a change of career. Fololi emphasizes individual attention within a group learning environment.

Her contribution gives a practical context to encouragement. It considers the time, resources, preparation and people involved in a goal, alongside the courage to imagine one. Fololi's own path informs her interest in helping learners turn an uncertain ambition into a sequence they can begin.
