Nutrition coaching and fitness contributor
Helen Connolly's biography in Inspired Miracles describes a working life in information technology alongside a longstanding interest in health and fitness. Aerobics and squash were important activities during a sedentary career, and she later trained as a fitness instructor and managed a women's personal-training studio.
After returning to information technology, Helen continued attending seminars and studying subjects related to nutrition. Her author note describes private functional-nutrition courses and identifies her as a certified functional nutrition coach.
The Health Miracle is shaped by her own health experiences and observations of illness within her family. Her contribution discusses food preparation, routines and the challenge of making sense of competing dietary messages.
Helen's chapter introduces the motivation behind her coaching interests and her wish to help people become more informed participants in everyday choices. The training described is her own account in the book; it should not be confused with a medical or dietetics qualification, or evidence that a particular dietary approach suits everyone.
