Textile designer and founder of Aster & Anne
Jennifer Moore is the Australian designer and developer behind Aster & Anne. Her biography in The Path To A New You describes extensive work in the textile industry and a lasting interest in craft, fashion and embellishment. She developed a range of pre-cut felt kits that brought those interests together.
Well, Hello, Almost 50! recounts the personal and professional experiences that led Jennifer towards that business. Her story includes earlier setbacks, learning within the industry and the wish to create something meaningful as a milestone birthday approached.
Jennifer describes the influence of her grandmothers and the people who taught her sewing, pattern drafting and grading. The name Aster & Anne grew from that family connection. Her account also describes working with WonderFil Specialty Threads and managing Australian wholesale and distribution work from Melbourne at the time of the book.
Her contribution is a specific story of creative entrepreneurship and continued learning. Jennifer acknowledges the family, friends and employers who helped her grow, and the Christian faith that forms part of her understanding of the opportunities she encountered.
