Minister and life coaching contributor

Lourens Malan was born in South Africa and trained as a minister of religion. His biography in Pardon Me, I'm Prospering describes thirteen years of full-time ministry in South Africa and twelve in Australia, together with experience in financial planning, manufacturing and managing a carwash business.

His contribution, Loss, Love & A Leap of Faith, includes the experience of losing sight in one eye shortly after beginning work with a congregation in Geraldton, Western Australia. Lourens describes the effect on confidence and the practical process of adapting, with support from his wife, Lizaan.

Family, Christian faith and the wish to serve others remain central to the story. The chapter also describes involvement in a project intended to bring Christian education to remote Pacific communities.

Lourens's biography lists ministry degrees and a life-coaching certificate. His contribution explains how those interests connect with the questions he faced personally, including the value of speaking with someone who can help clarify a difficult decision.
