Writer, speaker and Christian faith contributor
Zella Taylor-Watts is a writer, speaker, mother and grandmother whose contribution to The Freedom Blueprint is shaped by Christian faith and the experience of loss. Her chapter biography describes the death of her husband, Grant Charles Taylor, in April 1997 and the lasting influence that experience had on her life.
Through bereavement and single motherhood, Zella developed the themes that run through When Heaven Drew Near: hope, belonging in her faith and the example a person leaves within a family. Her account includes the ways relatives continue to remember someone through stories, shared occasions and familiar traditions.
Zella's writing is explicitly Christian. Scripture and her understanding of God's love provide the framework through which she describes the final days of her husband's life and the years that followed. These passages present her personal spiritual experience and interpretation.
Her contribution is concerned with how belief becomes visible in ordinary relationships. Zella encourages readers who share her faith to consider the influence of their choices on family, community and future generations. The chapter offers a personal account of remembrance and purpose rather than a prescribed timetable for grieving.
